Condition
The canvas has been relined. There are a few small flecks of retouching to the left of the angel's knees and around his feet, a few scattered specks within the background and around the edges of the work, notably the upper right edge. There are some signs of paint shrinkage, notably to the girl's robes and the angel's hair, otherwise the paint surface is in good overall condition. Held in a decorative plaster moulded gilt frame.
