Condition
Original canvas. There are some flecks of retouching to the face of the figures in the background to the left of the work, a few flecks to the distant background to the left and a few small retouches to the faces of the central women. There is some paint flaking on the central woman's neck and shoulders and to the neck of the woman to the left of her. there are further small spots of paint loss elsewhere. Held in an ornate plaster moulded gilt frame.
