Condition
The canvas has been relined. There are a few specks of retouching around the seated figure, a few small spots around the edges and there may be a few further cosmetic retouchings elsewhere (though a proper reading of this is hindered by a fluorescing varnish). Apart from some areas of fine craquelure the paint surface is overall in good condition. Held in a decorative plaster moulded gilt frame with a cream linen slip.
