Condition
Work on first canvas.
From a first hand inspection there are craquelures over the surface, some losses along the edges due to the old frame and spots of losses in the lower left-hand side of the grass.
The ultra violet light reveals a strong fluorescent varnish dishomogneneously spread over the surface. Because of the strong varnish it is difficult to recognise retouches underneath it.
There are retouches along the top edge on the left-hand side, along the right-hand edge where the old frame was and another small one close to the top left-hand corner.
It is suggested a careful cleansing.
The overall condition as to the state of preservation is good.
