Catalogue Note

Also known as Flight into Egypt, the present work was modeled in 1892 and numbers among a small group that Bazzaro executed in bronze. The sculptor was one of the group of Italians influenced by the stile liberta of Giuseppe Grandi and his circle, known as the Scapigliatura.
