4 fragments from two manuscripts, (a) 2 half-leaves from the same leaf of a noted Missal, together 224mm. by 153mm., 10 lines of text in a very small romanesque hand and of music on the page’s ruled lines with one line re-ruled in red, apparently from the Requiem Mass, red initials, very worn, Italy, twelfth century, in a blue cloth folder, morocco title label gilt, Boehlen MS, 1121 ES; and (b) 2 partial bifolia from a noted Breviary, 240mm. by 305mm., small gothic script, music with one line re-ruled in red, text from part of the sanctoral for July and August, about 30 small initials in red, Italy, thirteenth century, Boehlen MS. 1217 ES; all recovered from bindings
