2 single leaves, (a) Psalter, 210mm. by 143mm., 19 lines, ruled in plummet, written-space 140mm. by 78mm., gothic script, text from Psalm 85:17 to Psalm 87:10, illuminated initials and line-fillers, two large illuminated initials in burnished gold on pink and blue grounds with white tracery, northern France, mid-thirteenth century, blue cloth folder, morocco title label gilt; and (b) Book of Hours, 205mm. by 150mm., 18 lines, written-space 120mm. by 75mm., gothic script, from Matins in the Hours of the Virgin, large and small illuminated initials and line-fillers and broad three-quarter illuminated borders on each side with highly burnished gold ivyleaves with a few coloured flowers on black hairline stems, northern France (perhaps Paris), c.1430, in a double-sided glass mount; both leaves brightly illuminated and in fine condition; from the Boehlen collection, MSS 1214 ES and 1423 ES.
