The sculptural bracelet composed of stylized leaves of gold rope, the centers pavé-set with 294 round diamonds weighing approximately 20.00 carats, further accented with 10 cabochon emeralds and 5 old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 5.20 carats, length 7 inches.
Catalogue Note
Marc Koven, a self-taught jeweler and engraver, emigrated to New York City from Paris in 1940, establishing Koven Frères Jewelry Atelier on East 48th Street. One year later, his creations were being sold at Bergdorf Goodman who used his jewelry in their New York Times advertisements. Throughout the 1940s and 50s, Koven's creations were featured in Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Town and Country. In 1958, Marc Koven won three awards in the Diamonds USA International Design Competition.
