Catalogue Note

The Lotus House, operated by the Sundari Foundation, Inc. in Miami, Florida, provides transitional housing for homeless women in a respectful, non-stigmatizing environment to empower them to become whole again. The facility is a newly renovated apartment building which can house up to thirty women at a time. The Sundari Foundation seeks to provide each woman at the Lotus House with the resources she needs to make the positive changes she desires for her life as she works toward greater self sufficiency and alternate independent or supported housing. Support services may include counseling, medical assistance, social services support and referral, legal aid, computer classes, job training and varied enrichment activities.
