A Prussian Greatcoat, Worn by Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, circa 1910

with black embroidered crowned "W" cypher over "01" to silk panel in lining. The coat of grey wool cloth, with sleeves of characteristically differing lengths, and integral cape. Snaps for separate collar, probably of fur (now absent)

Presumably obtained from the Kaiser by his son - in - law, Prince Ernest Augustus, Duke of Brunswick - Luneburg.
