Enamel, colored stone and diamond rouge pot, Cartier, circa 1920

The hinged oval case applied with black enamel, decorated with a band of alternating collet-set cabochon rubies and emeralds spaced by old-mine diamonds, the onyx hoop handle joined to a loop and medallion pavé-set with rose-cut diamonds and accented with additional emeralds and a ruby, opening to reveal a covered rouge compartment and fitted mirror, mounted in 18 karat gold, length 2 inches, signed Cartier, French import marks.
