no.927.337, ref.570, 1945; a fine and very rare oversized circular steel wristwatch with bracelet

damascened nickel lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, precision regulator, silvered dial, subsidiary seconds, applied arabic and baton numerals, large circular case, flat polished bezel, satin finished case sides and back, case, dial and movement signed, with a stainless steel Gay Freres bracelet and folding clasp and an Extract from the Archives.

The accompanying Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirms that this watch was manufactured in 1945 and sold on December 27th the same year.

Production of reference 570 began in 1938. As a rare over-sized calatrava, the model has become one of the most collectible wristwatches of its type. Primarily produced in yellow gold, examples in steel are extremely rare and few have appeared at auction.
