the typed letter on White Star Line pale blue letter headed paper signed Captain R.N.R Marine Superintendent, the letter makes reference to Lightoller's lengthly service with White Star Line and his replacement ,with envelope, together with a number of other documents comprising:
black and white memorial postcard of the Titanic;
a legal document commanding Lightoller to remain in the US on 30th April 1912 to be a witness;
typed chronology of Lightoller up until 1920;
a letter from the Commissioners of the Admiralty dated 25th July 1919 informing Lightoller that he has now been placed on the Retired List as Retired Commander with envelope;
black and white photograph of the sinking of the GARRY with people in lifeboat in the foreground - photograph has pencil inscription on the reverse;
black and white postcard/photograph of Charled Lightoller and his son's Trevor and Roger, dated on reverse 1916;
