Catalogue Note

Magdalene Digby was the daughter of Everard Digby and his wife Mary Neave.  Her brother, Sir Everard Digby, was executed in 1606 for complicity in the Gunpowder Plot.  She later became a nun in the Benedictine Order in Brussels.
