"i resemble a hobbit at any rate in being moderately and cheerfully domesticated, though no cook."  Tolkien eagerly looks forward to visiting the recipient, who evidently has been reading a draft of the first part of Lord of the Rings. The author hopes that Mrs. Sayer will enjoy the second half as much as the first. a handsome letter on an important subject.
