Cabernet Sauvignon -Vintage 1994 In original wooden case (6) -Vintage 1995 In original wooden case (6) -Vintage 1996 In original wooden case (6) Ialways like the notion that this high mountain vineyard "looks down" on Martha's Vineyard! By Californian cult wine standards, this is old - the first vintage was 1990. The owner, Bill Harlan, is exacting where quality is concerned and in this he is abetted by his winemaker, Bob Levy, and consultant, Michel Rolland, a candidate for the most peripatetic oenologist of our era. Michel Rolland always says that he has never known such attention to detail as at Harlan - sorting grape by grape for a start! The wines go into 100% new French oak and are unfined and unfiltered, an all-enveloping wine and a prime contender for "most exciting newcomer"
