The Robert Bookman Collection

The wines in this collection came from the at-home and purpose-built cellar of a long-time friend of Sotheby’s. The collection is centered around aged Bordeaux, opening with Petrus and followed by verticals from each of the First Growths, with a focus on the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. Highlights include the legendary 1982 Petrus, 1959 Mouton Rothschild, 1989 Haut Brion and much more. Aged Burgundy selections appear later, including highlights from Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Leroy and Marey-Monge.

Legends from a Long-Time Oenophile

This consignment centers around rare Red Burgundy from celebrated domaines including Leroy, Comte Liger-Belair, Armand Rousseau and René Engel, represented in vintages spanning the late 1990s and early 2000s. Other producer highlights include Georges Roumier, J-F Mugnier, Domaine Fourrier and Prieuré Roch. Also noteworthy are the vertical and horizontal lots offered in this consignment from producers Dujac, Hudelot-Noellat and Cathiard along with Piedmont legends Bruno Giacosa, Giacomo Conterno and more.

Rarities from the Collection of Michael Maharam

Ranging in size from double to imperial magnum, these 83 large formats come from a well-regarded European wine merchant and include some of the greatest names in Bordeaux. Icons from the Left and Right Bank are well-represented with First Growths, along with Leoville Las Cases, Lynch-Bages and more alongside the ultrarare Le Pin, Petrus and Yquem. These wines were stored professionally and present collectors with the opportunity to purchase rarely seen large formats across a multitude of modern vintages.

Monumental Imperials

This collection features three towering verticals from Tuscan greats Sassicaia, Masseto and Ornellaia, featured in case and parcel quantities and in formats ranging from bottle to imperial magnum. Highlights here include the mythical 1985 Sassicaia, offered in magnum, and an imperial magnum of 1999 Masseto. Elsewhere in the collection you will find verticals of Opus One and Dominus, in addition to Bordeaux highlights from Le Pin, Petrus, Latour, and Mouton Rothschild.
