A leading light of British photography, Chris Levine has photographed some of the most well-known faces from around the world, including Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Queen Elizabeth II.
In this work, one of three by Levine included in the sale, the artist turns his lens towards the secretive Banksy. While it maintains his anonymity, the piece explores the myth of one of Britain’s most controversial and sought-after artists, and challenges the way we traditionally perceive portraiture.
Collected works by Banksy will be included in the Banksy Online sale, including the artist’s playful interpretation of Quentin Tarantino’s cult classic Pulp Fiction.
