Off White x Nike Collaboration

Sneaker history was made in 2017, when Nike tapped rising fashion star Virgil Abloh—the creative visionary behind luxury streetwear brand Off-White—to collaborate on an ambitious new collection. Known as “The Ten,” Abloh used the groundbreaking collab to deconstruct and reimagine ten iconic Nike silhouettes in his signature postmodern style. The Off White Nikes were a major hit, selling out immediately and cementing Abloh’s prestige as a streetwear visionary. With the success of “The Ten,” the collaborative duo went on to release numerous subsequent Off White sneakers, each attaining instant grail status among collectors. Today, the late Abloh’s Off White Nike designs remain among the rarest and most coveted models on the market. Read on to discover our favorite Nike Off White shoes to cop now.

Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High Off-White Chicago

The first Jordan release of Virgil Abloh’s “The Ten,” the Off White Nike Air Jordan 1 Chicago exemplifies the designer’s inimitable creative vision. His reinterpretation of the classic Jordan 1 silhouette—in its most iconic colorway—is at once innovative and unique, yet strikingly familiar. Abloh’s design trademarks are present throughout the Off White Jordans. Intentional zip-ties, exposed foam and textual branding inside signature quotation marks add a playfully postmodern touch to the Jordan Off White sneakers. Highlighting the intentionality behind each element, visible stitching and a deconstructed floating Swoosh add to their carefully handmade quality.

Nike Air Presto Off-White The Ten Friends and Family

Abloh put his spin on the Air Presto silhouette in 2017 as part of “The Ten,” turning the classic design “inside out.” The Off White Prestos feature an added heel strap, stitched on tonal Swoosh on the mesh upper, and signature red zip tie. The rare Off White Presto sneakers are an especially coveted Friends and Family edition, and come with an Air Presto Off White Friends & Family gift set containing four pairs of laces, a pencil case, and a notebook.

Nike Air Max 97 Serena Williams Queen Off-White Elemental Rose

These Off White Air Max Nike shoes were designed by Virgil Abloh for the 2018 “QUEEN” Collection, celebrating Serena Williams and the 50th anniversary of the US Open. A highly limited release, the Off White Air Maxes stand out with a vibrant gradient midsole and Volt zip-ties. Light pink uppers are complemented with lines mimicking a bullet train, while the integrated lacing system and black accents speak directly to Abloh’s influence on the timeless Air Max Nike silhouette.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Off-White MCA University Blue Factory Misprint

In 2019, to celebrate Abloh’s first solo museum exhibition—“Figures of Speech,” at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago—the exclusive Air Force 1 Off White MCA dropped in extremely limited quantities. The shoe instantly became a coveted collectible, and today, the vibrant University Blue Off White Air Force 1 is easily one of the Off White Nike collab’s most sought-after grails. This pair of Off White AF1s, featuring a factory misprint, is even rarer still. Off White branding, which typically adorns the shoe’s medial side, is printed on the lateral side of the left sneaker; the left shoe’s lateral Swoosh is also missing the red rectangular tab.

Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro Off-White Sail

A follow-up to the black Off White Air Jordan 5, this 2020 Air Jordan Off White release, in the “Sail” colorway, nails Abloh’s vintage aesthetic. The Off White Jordans are dressed in a cream layered textile mesh upper, with circular window inserts at the midfoot, collar and tongue. The iconic Air Jordan 5 shark tooth detailing, in red, stands out against a black and pre-yellowed translucent midsole, adding to the shoes’ retro look. Off White, Nike Air, Jumpman and “23” branding complete the look.

Nike Dunk Low Off-White Lot 01 of 50

In 2021 the “Dear Summer” collection, consisting of 50 different Off White Dunks, dropped as a follow-up to the original Nike Dunk Off White from 2019. This Off White Dunk takes the classic design to the next level, executed with Abloh’s trademark flourishes: the famous overlace system, exposed foam at the tongue and sans-serif Off White Nike branding on the medial side. White leather uppers get a punch of color, thanks to seafoam green flywire cables, red Nike branding at the heel, and a metallic silver Swoosh. A “01 of 50” badge adorns the lateral midsole, identifying the Off White shoes as Lot 01 of the 50-piece collection.
