The above lot featured a pink gold case and a silvered dial with pink gold dart hour markers, an exceptionally rare combination. The distinct red Rolex Datejust text and red numerals in the date window add to its unique appeal.

This Rolex Datejust was acquired by the original owner - a Captain in the 11th Military Police Criminal Investigation Division - in the early 1950s. Safeguarded in a safety deposit box upon his return to the USA, the Rolex has been preserved in pristine condition. Inherited by his son, the Rolex arrived at the market as an outstanding addition to any collection with minimal wear and a perfectly aged dial.
