Sotheby’s have partnered with Savile Row tailor, Huntsman, to create a luxury online only sale: Huntsman: Curated by Pierre Lagrange. The sale begins on 22 May and closes on 1 June and will include a selection of bespoke pieces curated by Huntsman owner Pierre Lagrange, in addition to items from his own personal collection. Included in the selection are a group of experiences that exemplify the Huntsman lifestyle, from VIP tours of bourbon distilleries in Kentucky, to a road trip across the states in a classic airstream RV. Take a look at some of the experiences that will go on sale.
1. Spend the night in the Kingsman fitting room of Huntsman’s Savile Row premises
Huntsman’s premises at 11 Savile Row famously appeared in the ‘Kingsman’ films — starring Colin Firth and Samuel L. Jackson — where its fitting room served as the secret entrance to the HQ of the Kingsman Secret Service. This lot will let you have a one night sleepover in this special fitting room, with two luxury cashmere sleeping bags provided to use, with bespoke monogrammed zippers created by CHAOS, and keep. Breakfast will be provided at Isabel’s Restaurant in Mayfair the following morning.
2. Tour the Bourbon Distilleries in Kentucky that inspired Kingsman HQ in Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Destroyed in the first film, the Kingsman headquarters was relocated to a Bourbon distillery in Kentucky for the sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
This lot will see 4 people travel to the locations that inspired director Matthew Vaughn in his choice of location: the Old Forester and Woodford Reserve Distilleries in Kentucky. There, they’ll take a VIP private tour of the distilleries, get one night’s accommodation in one of the listed hotels, and receive a case of Woodford Reserve Bourbon.
3. Work at Huntsman with the Head Cutter, then lunch at Annabel's with Huntsman's Chairman.
If you’ve ever fancied yourself a tailor, this lot will let you spend a day cutting your own bespoke suit with Huntsman’s Head Cutter Dario Carnera. You’ll learn how to take the 30 measurements required to discern the body’s shape, select the correct weight of cloth, then create bespoke patterns. Finally, you’ll cut the cloth with tailor’s shears, observe the sewing process, and go through all the necessary stages to create a perfect Huntsman fitted suit. To celebrate your new found profession, you’ll have lunch or dinner with Huntsman’s Chairman at Annabel’s in London.
4. Embark on an American adventure in a vintage RV
Hit the open road in this fully restored 1980s Airstream RV. It’s been decked out with bespoke Huntsman style, with tweed vinyl stripes and a claret awning, and an interior tweed in homage to Gregory Peck. You’ll meet up with the RV in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada or California for a week of exploration and fun.
