S alomon Lilian Dutch Old Master Paintings was founded in Amsterdam in 1989. Specializing in Dutch and Flemish sixteenth- and seventeenth-century paintings, Salomon Lilian is recognized as one of the leading international dealers and experts in the field of Old Masters. The Salomon Lilian gallery is based in the heart of Geneva, Switzerland, while a research centre is located in Amsterdam’s historic Canal District.
In addition to offering select paintings, Salomon Lilian also provides evaluations, consultations, as well as research and curatorial services to private collectors and institutions alike. Salomon Lilian exhibits annually at the TEFAF in Maastricht and at Frieze Masters in London, and produces a yearly catalogue with contributions by reputable art historians on its recent acquisitions.
Through the years the gallery has sold important works of art to the most esteemed collectors and museums, including the Rijksmuseum, the Frans Hals Museum, the Mauritshuis, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Cleveland Museum of Art, The Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Birmingham Museum of Art, the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, and the Leiden Collection.
