The National Gallery in London has announced that it will be gradually uploading the latest volume of its Italian paintings catalogues for free online. The Sixteenth Century Italian Paintings, Volume 4: Raphael has been edited by Carol Plazzotta and Tom Henry and contains a wealth of new research regarding the gallery's significant group of works by Raphael, including the Saint Catherine of Alexandria illustrated above. Many of the paintings featured within the gallery's highly acclaimed Rapahel Exhibition, which closes this month on 31st July 2022.
