Biography
Sherri Cohen serves as Sotheby’s Senior Vice President, Global Head of the Fiduciary Client Group. She is responsible for Sotheby’s strategy assisting lawyers, bankers, and accountants in the private wealth, probate, trust and estate community. In this capacity, she leads teams of lawyers in New York, London and throughout Europe, partnering with specialist colleagues across the business.
For over twenty-five years, Sherri has worked at the intersection of the legal and art world – as a thought leader—and trusted expert, advising professionals and their high-net worth clients during the art collecting lifecycle. Since she joined Sotheby’s in 2023, she has brought to market several important collections including Art Without Boundaries: the Abrams Family Collection (2024); Joie de Vivre: A Journey in Jewels (2025); the Schlumberger Collection (2025) and Exquisite Corpus: Surrealist Treasures from a Private Collection (2025).
Sherri is a U.S. and U.K. dual-qualified attorney as well as member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She is an active member of Art21 Contemporary Council, the Trusts and Estates Magazine board, UJA-Federation of New York, and Emory University’s Dean’s Advisory Council among other organizations. Sherri earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University, and her law degree from American University Washington College of Law.
