Mikael Wallhagen

With almost 30 years’ experience in the watch industry, Mikael heads Sotheby’s EMEA Watch department and is a senior specialist in the field. After graduating, Mikael began his career as a watchmaker before taking on a senior sales role with one of Sweden’s most prestigious watch retailers. Prior to joining Sotheby’s Mikael was a co-founder of the Important Watches sales at Kaplans and a founding member of the watch department at Bukowskis – the largest auction house in Scandinavia. Regarded as an authority in the field, he is also a much loved figure on the Swedish Antiques Roadshow, Antikrundan. Mikael speaks fluent English & Swedish.
