Biography
Matt Conway is Vice President, Lending Specialist, Americas and based in New York. Matt is responsible for developing tailored lending solutions for clients, allowing them to access the value of their passion assets, such as fine art, luxury goods and collectible automobiles. The clients Matt works with range from individual collectors, families, galleries, and dealers to partnering with financial advisors at some of the world’s top private banks and RIA practices.
Prior to joining Sotheby’s in 2023, Matt spent nine years with UBS, most recently in their Real Estate Finance group, where he financed more than $500M in commercial real estate loans for private wealth and institutional clients. While there, he supported the development and implementation of new lending businesses that were specifically catered towards high-net-worth-individuals, including their commercial real estate and private equity loan programs. Matt first interned at UBS and began his career in their two-year rotational Wealth Management Graduate Talent Program.
Matt is a CFA® charterholder and graduated from Boston College Carroll School of Management with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics. Matt lives in New York City with his fiancé, and his passion asset since childhood has been baseball memorabilia.
