Madeline Lissner

M adeline Lissner is Chief Commercial Officer at Sotheby’s. Madeline leads all financial dealmaking at Sotheby’s, including principal risk transactions and business management. Madeline previously served as Deputy Chief Commercial Officer at Sotheby's. Prior to 2022, she was also Managing Director of Sotheby's Financial Services, heading the company's global art lending division and leading it to a record portfolio balance. She joined Sotheby’s in 2016 following its acquisition of the art advisory and strategy firm, Art Agency Partners, where she oversaw the launch of its art investment fund. Prior to entering the art market, Madeline worked in investment banking at Centerview Partners and Citigroup. Madeline graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and art history, as well as a certificate in French. She also has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
