Lisa Stevenson joined Sotheby’s in 2019, as Deputy Director, Deputy Head of Day Sales and Head of Online Sales, having previously worked at Phillips Auctioneers since 2014.
Instrumental in launching the Impressionist and Modern Art department’s online auctions, Ms Stevenson has been deeply involved in many single-owner collection sales from Europe and the United States. Ms Stevenson has secured consignments throughout Europe, with a focus on France and German-speaking countries as well as advising Continental collectors on selling and buying.
In 2021, she launched Sotheby’s inaugural (Women) Artists sale in London, the first auction of its kind. The sale combined over 400 years of art from female artists, resulting in numerous auction records.
In 2022, Ms Stevenson joined the Contemporary Department as Head of Curated Sales and Director, developing an increasingly vital platform for Curated Sales in London.
Lisa Stevenson is of English and German descent and received her MA in Fine and Decorative Art from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art, after gaining an LLB in German and English Law from the University of Cardiff.
