Biography
Felix works with some of the most significant estates and collections in the UK, working with clients and their professional advisors on offers in lieu of tax, claims for Conditional Exemption and valuations. He also represents clients before the government Export Reviewing Committee. He has worked on numerous sales from a variety of Estates including the Estates of Lady Mary Soames, (Lord) Richard Attenborough, and Countess Mountbatten of Burma.
Felix works closely with UK Museums and Galleries and has negotiated a number of important acquisitions at institutions such as The Tate, the V&A, the Courtauld, and the National Gallery. He is also an experienced charity auctioneer.
Before Sotheby’s, Felix studied History at Christ Church, Oxford. He is a STEP qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and a board member of the Professional Advisors to the International Art Market (PAIAM).
