Biography
Cecilia Treves joined Sotheby’s Old Master Paintings in 2014 as a research specialist. Before then she was Exhibitions Curator at the Royal Academy of Arts, London. At Sotheby’s she has been responsible for writing about some of the most important paintings sold privately, as well as works sold at auction. Her particular interests lie in Italian painting but she also carries out research on a range of European Old Masters.
