Elisabeth Lobkowicz is a Director and Specialist in the Old Master Paintings Department at Sotheby’s, London. She began her career with Sotheby’s New York in 2013, after earning a master’s degree in art history from the Williams College Graduate Program in the History of Art, located in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Prior to that, she graduated with honors from Boston College, where she was a Division I athlete and earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Art History.
Throughout her career at Sotheby’s, Elisabeth has worked exclusively in the Old Master Paintings Department, gaining extensive experience in both specialist and business roles internationally. She works closely with clients and colleagues around the world to source, research, and secure consignments for international sales. Notably, she has played a key role in several significant sales, including the auction of Bronzino’s Portrait of a Young Man with a Quill, which sold in January 2023 for over $10 million and set a new record for the artist.
