Sotheby’s is delighted to present the Modern &amp; Contemporary Day Auction, taking place in London on 7 March 2024, at our New Bond Street galleries. Bringing together over a century of paintings, drawings and sculpture, this auction will reveal the multifaceted spirit of creativity from the late 19th century through to the present day. Showcasing a brilliant selection of works from the masters of Impressionism, through to the revolutionary movements of the early 20th century avant-garde and culminating with the Contemporary artists working today, this auction encapsulates the innovative ways in which artists have pushed the boundaries of artistic tradition and paved the way for generations to come. Excellent works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Tamara de Lempicka and Marc Chagall are offered alongside those by Jean Dubuffet, Lucian Freud, Frank Auerbach, Adrian Ghenie, and Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, as well as works by artists at the very forefront of Contemporary art, including Maja Ruznic, Klára Hosnedlová, Sarah Slappey and Victor Man.
