This remarkable ensemble of great English furniture was assembled with two guiding principles: excellent provenance, from important English country houses and private collections to great American collectors like Rockefeller, Doris Duke and Ann Getty; and the superior quality of colour and condition of each work.&nbsp; The most accomplished and desirable design categories of classic English furniture are represented: richly figured walnut, mahogany, carved giltwood, lacquer and Chinese export.
