Sotheby’s Hong Kong is thrilled to partner with celebrated actor and tastemaker Chen Bolin, who lends his curatorial eye to our latest edition of Sotheby’s Contemporary Curated auction this July. Throughout his career as an actor, Chen Bolin has been able to channel the visions and emotions of his directors, connecting with the viewer through the screen. As a curator for Sotheby’s, Chen Bolin is taking up the role of active creator, transmitting his own unique vision and perspective through the artworks selected for this sale. This distinctive assemblage explores the possibilities of art to reimagine and recalibrate our own roles, and the ways in which we want to relate to the world around us. Providing inspiration, new perspectives and a commentary on modern life, contemporary art is able to show us new ways of seeing and being seen.
