S otheby’s is excited to present its second Singapore Spirits Auction: Fine and Rare Whisky, which will be a live sale held on the 9th June 2024 in Conrad Singapore Orchard. The sale is accompanied by a small exhibition of the top lots, showcasing various bottles that were born from meticulous blending of top tier components, some of which will never be created again.
With market adjustments happening throughout 2023, the whisky market has shown signs of stabilization in 2024 with top collectors around the world seeing this as a good opportunity to buy. We have therefore curated a rich selection of rare whiskies covering both the collectible and drinking market. Starting the auction is the Karuizawa 1965 Japonisme, and extremely highly sought after Karuizawa that was born from the blend of two 50 year old single casks. We then have a variety of Karuizawa Geisha, and as always, some individual 36 views of Mount Fuji for collectors who want to fill the gaps in their series. Moving on to Yamazaki, we have some of the most sought after Yamazaki Single casks that one could hope to see in an auction, including the famous cask #3T70070, a.k.a. the elephant.
For scotch whisky, Bowmore is the spotlight as a set of Bowmore 1964 Trilogy is being offered at perfect condition. Other interesting Islay whiskies include the Laphroaig Cairdeas 30 Year old, the Kinship Feis Ile 2020 Full set and the Caol Ila 38 Year Old Cask of Distinction.
