Sapphires

Famous for their rich blue hues, sapphires have always been coveted by stone collectors. This sale showcases the rainbow spectrum of sapphires, with a wide range of blue and fancy colors on offer including pink, orange, purple and padparadscha – the orange-pink variety, named in Sinhalese for the lotus blossom. Discover fine quality sapphires from all top regions including Kashmir, Ceylon and Burma.

Cheveux D’Ange

During the 1940s and 1950s, Van Cleef & Arpels created designs that beautifully replicated delicate bows and knots in polished gold. This collection became known as Cheveux D’Ange, a nod to the resemblance of gold strands to angel’s hair. They are creations that evoke the daintiness of lacework and draping fabrics. The pieces offered in this collection are further enhanced with diamonds, creating graceful silhouettes and making a seamless transition from day to nighttime wear.

Colored Diamonds

The diamond is indisputably the monarch among gemstones because of its rich cultural and social significance. Admirers have ascribed value to these brilliant stones for several millennia, fashioning them into jewelry in places from ancient China and India to all reaches of the modern world. Colored diamonds possess all the fire and brilliance of their colorless counterparts, while their hues may elicit memories and emotions. We are pleased to present The Rainbow Collection, lots 130-136, featuring seven captivating colored diamond rings in a variety of cuts and colors, all offered with No Reserve!

Alexandrites

One of nature’s most fascinating phenomenal gems, alexandrite continues to be the ultimate collector’s stone. Alexandrite is the very rare color-change variety of the mineral chrysoberyl. Appearing a lovely bluish green in daylight, to sumptuous purplish red under incandescent light, this stone of shows the appeal of “emerald by day, ruby by night.”
