Hamon [tempering pattern]: broad suguha
Boshi [tip]: long kaeri
Nakago [tang]: ubu, one mekugi-ana
Habaki [collar]: copper gilt, single clad
In shirasaya [plain wood scabbard]
Koshirae [mount]: the fine lacquer koshirae with a black sabiji ground with intermittent areas of basket weave in red lacquer, the finely carved and hammered menuki of gourds and vine in gold, ribbed tsuka
Nagasa [length from kissaki to machi]: 23.2 cm., 9⅛ in.
Moto-haba [width at the machi]: 2.6 cm., 1 in.
