Tiffany Studios

As has already been mentioned, my parents were inveterate collectors of American brilliant cut glass starting in the mid-1960s. They took one of their regular buying trips to scenic Bucks County, Pennsylvania one Saturday in 1972, an area that had numerous dealers specializing in cut glass. My parents wandered into Fanfare Antiques in Lahaska, a new shop that had recently opened. After introducing themselves to the owners, Dave and Bea Cohen, Jay immediately spotted this pitcher. He knew little about Tiffany Favrile glass at the time, but thought the cutting and engraving made the piece a suitable addition to the collection. It was purchased for $400 and began an obsession that lasted for forty-six years.
