Kasamatsu Shiro (1898-1991)
Three woodblock prints
Showa period, 20th century
each a woodblock print, signed Shiro, titled in the left margin, each with publisher's mark (Hotei 'E', circa 1931-41) Hanken shoyu fukyo mosha Watanabe Shozaburo [copyright reserved, reproduction not permitted, Watanabe Shozaburo], and comprising:
- Evening Sky, Suwa Shrine, Nippori (Yuzora, Nippori Suwa jinja), sealed Shiro saku (made by Shiro), dated Showa shichinen aki (autumn 1932)
- Yanaka Pagoda in the Evening Rain (Ame ni kururu to, Tokyo Yanaka), sealed Shiro, dated Showa shichinen banshun (late spring, 1932), the reverse stamped MADE IN JAPAN
- Morning Calm, Ajiro Promontory in Izu (Asanagi, Izu Ajiro misaki), embellished with silver mica, Shiro, dated Showa hachinen haru (spring 1933)
