The introduction of the Patek Philippe reference 5990 in 2014 marked a significant milestone in the lineage of the Nautilus collection, which traces its origins back to the work of Gerald Genta in 1976. However, the narrative of this model begins nearly a decade prior, in 2006, when Patek Philippe commemorated the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus by subtly refreshing Genta's original design. Available here in stainless steel and featuring a gradient grey dial adorned with the iconic horizontally embossed Nautilus pattern, the reference 5990 boasts a host of distinctive features. Alongside the central dual time display, a sub-dial at 12 o'clock indicates the date, synchronized with the local time. The luminescent-coated gold hour markers, along with the local hour and minute hands, ensure legibility in low-light conditions.
The present model comes with Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin, setting pin, presentation case and outer packaging, two spare bracelet links and retail tag.
