In 2019, an amazing, rich, classy, brambly nose - and you feel the richness of texture to come. Old vines and nobility of soil very much in evidence here. On the palate, the sweetness and the succulence are astounding. This is what led me to the year - for the rest, it was pure Fourrier and this 'faux Grand Cru' Clos St.Jacques depth. Utterly mouth-filling, aromatically layered, sensational stuff. And in 2020, enchanting fragrance on the nose, ultimate class, raspberries and loganberries, plus heather in flower and violets - one could go on for ever. Soft, plush, vibrant red fruit on the palate, so fresh and bouncy. Everything is integrated here, the fruit and acidity knitting together to wondrous effect, ending on bramble jelly!
