In 1937, to celebrate Disney’s first ever full-length film, Cartier created the limited-edition gold and enamel charm bracelet for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This fun and innovative bracelet was worn by Lillian Disney, the wife of Walt Disney, at the premier of the film and has since inspired collectors of Disney jewelry. The collaboration between Disney and Cartier allowed for Disney and his production company to build and work in a better studio. Later, in 1940, Cartier similarly created a charm bracelet celebrating the second feature film of Walt Disney Productions, Pinocchio. Both editions of Disney-Cartier charm bracelets have reached incredible heights in recent auctions.
