A French walnut cased metronome by Maelzel Paquet, Paris, circa 1930


with a pressed metal label stamped MAELZEL / FRANCE / PAQUET / FABRICANT / FRANCE / METRONOME / 1815 MAELZEL / PAQUET 1846

Height: 23.5cm., 9¼in.

The present metronome sat on Freddie's prized Yamaha grand piano. It is likely it would have been used for composition. Freddie has a had rubber pads attached to the feet to protect the pristine polished surface of the piano.
