Edo period, 19th century


Each a woodblock print, signed Toyokuni ga, and comprising:

- Four bust portraits of actors performing in the play The Storehouse of Loyal Retainers (Chushingura), circa 1800

- The actors Nakamura Tozo, Onoe Baiko and Bando Mitsugoro in the roles of Hanjimono Kihei, Mawashi Yasuke and Utsumi Gengobei, published by Ibaya Senzaburo (Dansendo), circa 1820

The first vertical oban, the second uchiwa-e:
