Description

2000 Chuck Knoblauch New York Yankees World Series Championship 14k Ring With Original Presentation Box (Knoblauch Loa)

For second baseman Chuck Knoblauch, the 2000 season ended the same way his previous two seasons with the New York Yankees ended – with another World Series title. Knoblauch and the Yankees continued to own the Major League and despite a sluggish finish to the 2000 regular season, New York rose to the occasion in the playoffs, defeating the Oakland A’s in five games of the ALDS, besting the Seattle Mariners in six games of the ALCS and knocking off their cross-town rival New York Mets in five games of the World Series to win the franchise’s 26th title.

This is the 2000 ring presented to Chuck Knoblauch when the Yankees won the 2000 World Series. The face of the 14K gold Balfour size 9 ½ ring has the interlocking NY on top of a blue sapphire, and a bed of real diamonds, with the NY also covered with diamonds. Around the perimeter of the face are “2000 WORLD CHAMPIONS” all in raised relief. One shank has the famed Yankee façade, with the Top Hat logo and the word “PRIDE.” The other shank contains the name “KNOBLAUCH” with “26th” imposed over an image of the Stadium with the New York skyline in the background. The word “TRADITION” is below. The band has the manufacturer name “BALFOUR 14K” and “Chuck Knoblauch” etched inside. The ring weighs approximately 51.77 grams and is accompanied by the original 7 ½ x 6 x 2 ¾-inch presentation box with the top glass window etched with “NEW YORK YANKEES 2000 WORLD CHAMPIONS.” This is an original team issued ring, a rare player ring from a key player of the great dynasty Yankee teams of the late 1990’s early 2000’s. 2000 World Series rings are among the rarest and most sought after for Yankee collectors, and are the one ring that is consistently missing from advanced collections. It is in near mint condition and comes with a LOA from Chuck Knoblauch.
