1998 Chuck Knoblauch New York Yankees World Series Championship 14K Ring (Knoblauch LOA)
Chuck Knoblauch hit a career-high 17 home runs during his first summer in New York, helping the Yankees win an astounding 114 games in the 1998 regular season. The scrappy second baseman continued his stellar play in the postseason as he and New York made it all the way to the World Series. In the Fall Classic, Knoblauch hit .375 while going 6-16 in the Yankees four game sweep of the San Diego Padres, including a game-tying three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning of Game 1.
This offered 1998 World Series Champions ring was presented to Chuck Knoblauch following the 1998 World Series victory. This ring features 24 beautiful diamonds that make up the team’s famed interlocking “NY” logo, set on a navy background. Surrounding the logo are another 24 diamonds. The number of diamonds is a representation of 1998 being the 24th World Series championship in franchise history. The outer perimeter of the ring reads “WORLD CHAMPIONS 1998”. The left shank of the ring reads “125-50” followed by the Yankees top hat on bat logo, and the words “BEST EVER” below the logo in raised relief. This signifies the team’s win-loss record that season, including the playoffs, which resulted in a record for most wins in a single season. The right side of the ring features the name “KNOBLAUCH” and the World Series trophy in the foreground of Yankee Stadium, with the word “TRADITION” underneath that. “Balfour” (the ring producer) appears on the inside of the band, along with “©14K”, which is the weight of the gold. Ring size is approximately 9 and weighs approximately 34.87 grams.
