Girard-Perregaux has been creating spectacular timepieces as early as the 19th century, and the most well-known piece is none other than the patented 3 gold bridges. Reminiscent of this hallmark design, the current piece is an interesting an innovative illustration of the gold bridges.
Encased in titanium, the watch is robust whilst extremely lightweight, sitting beautifully on the wrist. What is more intriguing is the DLC-coating on top which only appears in the “Earth to Sky” edition, the matte coating with the polishing details and smooth satin finishes creates a contemporary and sporty appeal while protecting the surface from corrosion. The PVD treatment even extended to coat the bridges on the dial, contrasting with the blue barrel cover and micro-rotor. An enjoyment to look at, the watch is surely a fascinating approach towards the classic collection.
