Private collection, Belgium.
This painting can be compared on the grounds of quality and composition to a set of four miniatures attributed to the Spanish court painter Alonso Sánchez Coello in the Louvre, Paris.1 Other comparable miniatures attributed to the artist can be found in the Meadows Museum, Dallas, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, respectively.2 The sitter of this portrait bears a resemblance to Coello's portrait of Infanta Catalina Micaela of Spain (1567–1597) in the Prado, Madrid.3
