Istoriato Plate with Venus and Cupid
the reverse with inscription painted in dark blue: Se[m]pre Cupido va tenta[n]do / e queti. / nota [followed by a flourish resembling the Greek letter phi] cp.??, the number “77” also painted on the reverse (perhaps an inventory number for the van Boijmans collection), and typed label "100" (possibly corresponding to the inventories of Alexandre Imbert); an old partial label has been detached from the back; it is printed in red with the letter "A" followed by a handwritten four-digit number - the last number is illegible: "161[.]?"
