A pair of ebony and turned ivory caned side chairs in Indo-Dutch 17th century style, possibly English and 19th century
the backs ornately decorated in relief carving with a double arcade of turned ivory spindles between uprights headed by heraldic lions with shields, the removable squab cushions on later caned seats with turned ivory discs to front corners, on turned legs with peripheral stretchers and bun feet
